Toto Construction in Redlands, CA | Square Deal Contractors

We provide independent Toto service in Loma Linda and across Redlands, from Washlet seat repair to full bathroom remodels built around Toto fixtures. What makes our Toto work different here is simple: we know how Redlands’ older homes, hard water, and hillside lots affect these fixtures over time. We’re a full-scope general contractor that happens to work on Toto equipment every week, which means we can rebuild the fixture or rebuild the room around it. Why Redlands Residents Choose Us for Toto Service

Toto builds a genuinely solid product. The Drake and Ultramax lines have earned their reputation, and the Washlet seats set the bar for the category. But even the best fixtures age, and Redlands’ conditions accelerate that process in specific, predictable ways. We know which parts wear first on a Toto unit that’s been running on hard valley water for eight years. We know what a hairline crack in an Ultramax base means on a pier-and-beam floor in the historic core. And we know when a repair is worth doing versus when you’re better off with a matched Toto replacement.

Nolan Breckett, our owner, grew up in the Baker Ranch area of Lake Forest and learned the trade through the construction technology program at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo. He’s spent decades looking at why a framing or plumbing decision made twenty years ago is causing problems now. That approach carries into every Toto service call. We look at the whole bathroom, not just the fixture in front of us. We’re an independent contractor and not authorized, sponsored, or endorsed by Toto. We’re also a Home Remodeling – Redlands specialist, so when a Toto fixture lives in a bathroom that needs more than a part swap, we can handle that under one contract.

Common Toto Construction Problems We Solve in Redlands

Every week, Redlands homeowners call us with Toto fixtures that are acting up. Most of the time, the cause traces back to one of a handful of failure patterns we see across the city.

  • Washlet seats that stop spraying or throw error lights. Redlands water is high in minerals, and those minerals coat the Washlet inlet filter, the nozzle, and internal valves over time. Weak spray pressure or a complete bidet function failure is often just a clogged filter and a hard-water crust on the nozzle tip. On the S550e and C5/C200 series, we clean or replace the inlet filter, descale the nozzle assembly, and test the flow before we call the job done. If the board itself has failed, we’ll tell you plainly and price a replacement seat rather than chasing parts.
  • G-Max and EcoPower flush valves running continuously or ghost-flushing. Summer heat in Redlands routinely tops 100°F, and that heat cycling stresses the rubber seals and plastic components inside older Toto tanks. The flush valve loses its seal, or the fill valve won’t shut off completely. You hear water running in the tank, or the toilet flushes on its own at odd hours. We replace these with genuine Toto OEM fill valves and flush tower assemblies, not generic substitutes.
  • Hairline cracks and seepage at the base of older Ultramax one-piece bowls. This is the one we see most often in Redlands’ historic core. The Ultramax one-piece is a heavy bowl, and when it sits on a pier-and-beam or terraced hillside floor that flexes slightly, the porcelain can develop stress cracks at the base over decades. You might notice a faint water stain at the floor line or a persistent musty smell. If the crack hasn’t compromised the bowl, we can sometimes save it. If it has, we’ll tell you and install a Toto-matched replacement on a properly shimmed flange.
  • Supply-line, wax-ring, and closet-flange leaks in pre-1930s bathrooms. Many Redlands homes in the 92373 ZIP were built before modern plumbing rough-ins. The original drain location often doesn’t align with a modern Toto bowl footprint. That forces offset flanges, which can leak if they weren’t installed right. We see failed wax rings under Toto Drakes and Ultramaxes all the time in these older bathrooms, and we fix them properly by correcting the flange height and sealing the connection.
  • Loose, rocking Toto toilets on uneven or shifted floors. Terraced hillside footings settle over time. A Toto toilet installed without checking the closet flange and shimming the bowl can rock, which eventually cracks the porcelain or breaks the wax-ring seal. We re-check every flange, shim where needed, and set the bowl down solid. “Know what you’re getting into before the first nail goes in.”

Toto Service in Redlands: What Local Conditions Mean for Your Equipment

Redlands splits into two very different construction realities. Downtown and the historic core in 92373 hold many 1900-1930 Craftsman, Tudor, and Victorian homes, most of them on raised pier-and-beam or terraced hillside footings. Those floors move. They shift with temperature changes, settle with age, and flex under the weight of a one-piece Toto Ultramax. In the east side and 92374, you get mid-century ranch tract homes on concrete slabs, which don’t have the same movement problem. That split shapes every Toto service call we run. In the historic core, many bathrooms still sit on raised footings where the floor gives slightly, so a Toto one-piece toilet installed without re-checking the closet flange and shimming can rock and crack its base. Flat-slab newer towns don’t see that failure pattern. On a Smiley Heights hillside home, our crew pulled a rocking Ultramax one-piece whose base had hairline-cracked because the terraced subfloor had shifted, then reset a new Toto bowl on a reinforced, shimmed closet flange with a fresh wax ring. Down the hall we rebuilt the tank with a genuine Toto fill valve and flushed the aging Washlet inlet filter so the spray pressure came back. That’s what this job looks like up toward the canyons.

Toto Models & Products We Service in Redlands

We work on the Toto Ultramax II and Ultramax one-piece toilets, the Toto Drake and Eco Drake two-piece lines, Toto Washlet seats including the S550e and C5/C200 series, and the EcoPower and G-Max flush valve systems. Our parts approach is straightforward: we use genuine Toto OEM fill valves, flush tower assemblies, and Washlet components on anything worth keeping. Aftermarket parts get reserved for non-critical trim only. We keep the common Toto parts stocked for fast turnaround, which matters when you’re living with one bathroom and a toilet that won’t stop running.

Toto Service Pricing in Redlands

Toto-focused work usually falls into one of two buckets: repairs on existing fixtures, or Toto in Colton and Redlands remodels where the Toto fixture is part of a larger bathroom project. Repairs like fill valve replacements, wax-ring changes, and Washlet filter service run a few hundred dollars depending on parts. Remodels vary widely by scope. Here’s what we see across Redlands:

Project Typical Range in Redlands
Bathroom Remodel $9,000 – $28,000
Small Bathroom Remodel $5,000 – $12,000
Walk-In Shower Installation $4,500 – $12,000
Tub-to-Shower Conversion $3,500 – $10,000
Bathroom Vanity Installation $800 – $3,000

The price depends on what’s behind the walls, whether the subfloor needs reinforcement, and what level of finish you want. A free estimate includes an inspection of the existing Toto fixtures and a line-item quote. Call (866) 623-7205 to schedule one.
